The way of representing nature is devoid of the picturesque, which is accompanied by an attempt at the accurate representation of the surrounding world. Sidorowicz did not manage to avoid some schematization, resulting probably from a desire to adapt his work to the requirements set by the art critics of the day, according to which domestic artists had to concentrate on painting Polish landscapes emphasizing positive aspects and peculiarities of different lands and regions, e.g., Masovia, Małopolska, Kielce region, Podolia, Volhynia or the Tatras.
